The OUTREACH SERVICE has been
established at Woolgrove since the early 1980's.
It is organised as part of the L.A.'s area
provision to support local schools.
Key Features of the Outreach
Service:
- Targeted support for pupils with moderate
learning difficulties in mainstream school who might otherwise
be referred for specialist placement.
- Support for the reintegration of pupils
moving from special to mainstream school, including those moving
into Y7 at secondary schools.
- Support for school staff development to
promote inclusion and pupil achievement.
- A Special Needs Resource Centre, where a
range of resources are available for loan.
- A termly INSET programme covering a range
of appropriate topics.
